Mr. Piero Anzalone Gherardi was born under the sign of Cancer. Ms. Ulrike Schmidt was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces.

Already with us for more than 16 years and with the typical helpfulness of the Pisces, she has become the person our guests frequently run to for tips and all manner of advice. She is at all times available for you should you have suggestions, wishes, or even if you simply want to have a chat.

Ms. Schmidt comes from beautiful Styria (Steiermark), a place she always returns to and spends her holidays or vacation, where she regains all her natural energy and lets her soul simply relax, be it in winter when skiing or in summer when hiking. Her other hobbies include reading, travelling, going to the movies and eating Italian cuisine.

Mr. Suchy was born under the zodiac sign of Libra and has become since many years back a trusted face during the night shift. With his typical Libran courtesy and internal harmony, he always has an open ear for the intentions and wishes of all the night revelers and early risers among our guests. Not only does he makes sure you are in good and safe hands during the night, but also would gladly serve you a cup of coffee or a small breakfast during the wee hours of the morning.

He spends his free time marvelling at nature and going wandering in Styria. Other interests include history and classical music, from which he always has good tips at hand for all culture enthusiasts. And whoever by chance has ended up hearing his answering machine knows then that Mr. Suchy also speaks fluent Arabic…!

Mojmir STRANSKY

Mr Stransky was born under the sign of Sagittarius. With his typical Sagittarian reliability, he “holds the fort” during the night hours and ensures that a competent contact person is available at our guests’ disposal for all of their concerns anytime.

Mr Stransky comes from the Czech Republic; a language course first brought him to Austria and later on, academic studies. His hobbies include travelling first and foremost – he is an extremely competent travel guide for countries such as India, Cambodia, Vietnam – as well as reading and just about every type of sport activity.

His work-aim: “To ensure through my work that our guests always feel that they are in good hands and well-looked after round the clock.”

Mrs. Selcuk was born under the sign of Aquarius.
With the typical Aquarian friendliness, she helps out our team with the preparation of your breakfast. With the preparation of your extensive breakfast buffet, she ensures that you can start your new day invigorated and strengthened.

Mrs. Selcuk comes from Turkey but Vienna has become her second home during the last 25 years. A big part of her free time is set aside for her big family and one of her hobbies is, aside from reading and listening to music, driving!

Mrs. Uneibis was born under the sign of Aries. With the typical vitality of this zodiac, she remarkably assists our service staff during breakfast, especially with the preparation of our new warm dishes. She also takes care of our guests’ valuable well-being with her work in housekeeping.

Mrs. Uneibis comes from Cuba but has been living for many years in Austria. She is married and spends her free time in sports activities, sings and dances with much fervor, and loves long walks with her dog.

Mrs. Marzanna was born under the sign of Gemini. With the typical Gemini qualities of flexibility and cheerfulness, she excellently serves our guests during breakfast and helps guarantee a good start in their vacation or workday.

Mrs. Marzanna comes from Poland but has been living in Austria for many years now, first in Styria, and then just recently here in Vienna. She is a mother of 2 grown-up children and spends her free time sports-wise with cycling. Aside from this, she is a passionate cook and also enjoys sewing.

Mrs. Therezija Bot was born under the zodiac sign of Pisces.
With her typical Piscean selflessness and flexibility, she takes excellent care of our rooms on the fourth floor. She has been a trusted face for our guests for six years now.

Mrs. Therezija Bot comes from Slovenia, where she always goes back to help out the family with the work in their own farmyard. Excellent wine as well as pumpkin seed oil is produced there, among others. Whatever little free time she has belongs first and foremost to her two grandchildren.

Mrs. Slavica Ivanic was born under the sign of Libra.
With the Libra’s typical equanimity, she has for six years now been in charge of our rooms at the 3rd floor, which for our guests has always been a place to feel good. She also helps eagerly whenever extra help is needed during breakfast buffet service.

Mrs. Ivanic comes from Bosnia although Austria has already become her second home. Privately, she is married and a mother of two chiildren. Her favourite pastimes include reading, cooking and sewing.

Khoon SERWO

Ms. Khoon Serwo was born under the sign of Gemini.
With the Gemini’s typical thoroughness, meticulousness and cheerfulness, she is for almost 13 years now the good spirit in our first floor. With her work, she makes sure everyday that our guests are always in good hands and do not lack any of the comforts or amenities in Hotel AUSTRIA.

Ms. Khoon Serwo came to Austria many years ago from Thailand. In private, she is a passionate cook and spends her free time doing sports activities like swimming as well as dancing.

Ms Sonja Risteska was born under the sign of Aries. With the typical Aries qualities of vitality and spontaneity, she makes it a point that our guests always feel at home.

Ms Sonja came to Vienna 7 years ago from Macedonia. She is a mother to one daughter with whom she has been very eager to discover the still unknown sights of Vienna.

Sasa PETROVIC

Mr. Sasa Petrovic was born under the sign of Taurus.
With the Taurus’s typical loyalty, he has been the “good-natured spirit” in Hotel AUSTRIA since 1999. With his knack for technical handiwork, he fixes not just the technical problems in our hotel, but through his work also ensures that our guests feel well wherever they are inside the hotel.

Mr. Sasa Petrovic comes from Serbia-Montenegro and has been in Austria for more than 16 years now. Austria has for a long time become his second home.

His hobbies include cooking, reading, running and inline-skating. He is married, the proud father of a 13-year-old daughter and has proven time and again that not only does he have a lot of humour, but also a lot of heart.

His motto: Through my work I want to make sure that also at the background areas everything works smoothly at all times.

Allan BALBAS

Mr. Allan Balbas was born under the sign of Aries.
With the Aries’s typical vitality and spontaneity, he has contributed and is still contributing significant support in many areas of responsibility in Hotel AUSTRIA.
He is frequently seen during breakfast service with his charming and cheerful disposition and is also always at our guests’ disposal to assist in technical or maintenance problems.

Mr Allan was born in the Philippines and has been living in Vienna for some time now.  One of his most favourite hobbies is singing.

Stefan BASSRUCKER

Mr. Stefan Bassrucker was born under the sign of Virgo. With the typical attentiveness of the Virgo, he supports out our team during weekends, working in all areas, like lending a helping hand with breakfast service as well as housekeeping and handling technical concerns.

Mr. Stefan Bassrucker presently is an apprentice and he spends his free time with sports activities like skiing and running.
