His Jenny brought their son into the world on July 28th at 5:23 AM.
Baby William was 49 centimeters long and weighed 2.98 kilograms!
Since then, he’s been drinking every 3 hours – and is growing, and growing, and growing…
Even at this period when the nights are too short for his parents, they’ve never been happier.
We all cordially congratulate the proud parents – and Baby William most of all!
During the summer months we’ve thought of what it is we could still make more pleasant for you.
Many bathrooms were modernized with new laminated coatings and with their new radiance can now easily keep up with the last of the sun’s rays. For the bathroom floors, we’ve thought of something really special: elegant flooring that brings to mind the Italian “Terrazo” and through its unique surface is absolutely non-slippery and skid-proof.
Best try it out for yourself now.
This summer we’re getting help from four young individuals:
Jonah (24 y/o) in Kitchen and Service, Swansita (20 y/o), apprentice in all areas, Stefan (19 y/o) and Armin (18 y/o), both in maintenance and guest service.
All FOUR are uncannily diligent, work “like pros”, are pleasant, capable, and reliable.
Our guests appreciate “the four”; we’re all just happy to have them.
It’s nice to know that such positive-minded youngsters are still around!
Interested in music, theater, the opera, museums, or exhibitions?
We’ll be happy to keep you informed about all the dates / schedules and perhaps even let you in on a few secrets too…
From September to December, Frida Kahlo’s work will be on display for the first time in Vienna. The Bank Austria Kunstforum is showing a retrospective of the Mexican artist.
The exhibit is unique: never have so many of Frida Kahlo's works been on display in Vienna. The Bank Austria Kunstforum is showing 60 paintings and 90 works on paper, tracing the career of this exceptional artist, who died in 1954. - From the first self-portraits, which recall the figurative ideals of Renaissance painting, to the images tending toward surrealism, to her expressionistic self-portraits. The exhibit will be complemented by documentary photographic material from Frida Kahlo's grandniece.
Frida Kahlo's works were officially recognized in Mexico as a "national cultural treasure". In 2002, Hollywood depicted her life in a film starring Salma Hayek in the lead role, who received an Oscar nomination. The painter's fate has always been touching and fascinating; throughout her entire life, she suffered from the aftermath of a terrible bus accident. Frida Kahlo's works, which only consist of 143 images (of which 55 are self-portraits), remain impressive to this day.

Two exhibitions in the Kunsthalle are concerned with Urban Art this summer and focus on artists such as Basquiat, Séripop and Keith Haring.
The major summer exhibition in the Kunsthalle from 25 June to 10 October is entitled "Street and Studio. From Basquiat to Séripop". At the heart of the show are works by the American painter and graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988). His collaborations with Keith Haring, to whom a special exhibition is dedicated in Hall 2, and Andy Warhol are also part of the exhibition.
Also on show will be works by other contemporary artists from 1976 to today, whose source of inspiration is the city: works by design duo Séripop and photographer Ari Marcopoulos as well as the pictures of Street Art artists Brad Downey, Evan Roth and Mark Jenkins. Videos, installations and sound works round off the program.
The monothematic exhibition "Keith Haring 1978 - 1982" can be marveled at from 28 May to 19 September. It is dedicated to the lively and experimental early years of the artist, who was strongly influenced by graffiti. The focus is on Haring's paper works and includes drawings, flyers, posters, photographs, subway drawings as well as video documentaries on the creative processes behind the work of the artist who died in 1990.
