Freitag, 11-01-08 12:18 In English we say "better late than never!" I have been visiting Vienna for decades, so why is it only now that I have discovered Hotel Austria?? It is a gem, probably the best three-star hotel in the city! Everything about it is "my kind of hotel!" - beautifully situated, great service, wonderful breakfast - good friends. I plan to recommend it to my many traveling friends in Canada and the U.K. and look forward to the next time I can call Hotel Austria "home".

Montag, 07-01-08 17:13 We have just returned from our second visit to Vienna staying at the "Austria" and would once again like to place on record our thanks for a wonderful stay. As before we found all the staff in the hotel friendly and helpful - especially those on reception who arranged restaurants and taxis for us. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the Austria to anyone who visits Vienna. In fact we enjoyed the experience so much that we are now considering returning for next New Year.

Freitag, 28-12-07 19:41 Hotel Austria is a very attractive older house, tucked away in a cul-de-sac in a very beautiful part of Vienna. It is only a 5 minute walk to the city centre and several minutes' walk to the tram stop. We stayed in one of the apartments which was extremely comfortable and pleasing in its decor (as is all the hotel, being tastefully decorated with dark wood, lighter walls and oriental carpets on most of the floors) Without doubt this is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in all our years of travelling. I would challenge anyone to find a speck of dust anywhere. The high ceilings were spotless, the beautiful lamp fittings gleaming and the hotel as a whole has a warm and cosy ambience. The breakfast room is extremely pretty and again, very clean. The staff are very polite, friendly and always willing to help in any way they can. Overall, a beautiful, clean, excellent hotel in an extremely good location.

Sonntag, 16-12-07 17:14 My wife and I have just come home again to Bergen, Norway from a beautiful weekend in Vienna. We stayed at Hotel Austria and had a very nice experience! We have been travel nearly “all over” Europe and have visited a lot of different hotels - but this is the very best one! We have of course visited more luxurious hotels but not a hotel with an excellent service like this hotel. My Wife and I celebrate a special day during the stay. When we came back from shopping this day the staff had placed a bottle of champagne in a cooler at the room – free of charge! The room was big and nice decorated. Cleaning was excellent and the breakfast was significant. So we will give this hotel our best recommendations! I first stayed at your charming hotel in November 1958; my wife and daughter stayed with you in September 1997. And this time my son David Foster and his wife, Sharon, will be staying with you at the same time. They were married in September 2007 and this is their delayed honeymoon. I hope everything is still as wonderful as we remember.

My wife and 5 month old son and I stayed with you for a few days to celebrate my 40th birthday. This was the fourth time my wife and I had stayed at the Hotel Austria and - as ever - the hospitality and professionalism of the staff were first rate! I was delighted at the gift of the bottle of wine in our room to mark my birthday! A lovely touch, which was very much appreciated! And yet another reason why, when we next visit Vienna, we will certainly stay at your wonderful hotel.
