Museum of Change
At the former Central Post Office building in the heart of Vienna, historic architecture meets contemporary media art. The Museum of Change, in the revitalized courtyards of the magnificent Baroque building, is a free open-air museum.
The enormous, historically protected 18th-century building complex on Vienna’s Dominikanerbastei Street served as the Central Post Office for many years. Following extensive renovations, it now houses offices, a hotel, a coworking space, and, since October 2025, a cutting-edge art project.
With more than 50 projectors, 120 speakers, and fog machines, the Baroque building is transformed into a multisensory spectacle. The imagery, drawn from the four visual realms of humanity, the environment, and the micro- and macrospheres, are generated in real time by artificial intelligence. They merge into one another, continuously evolving, and never repeating themselves. The installations in the 1,500-square-meter main courtyard are especially striking. The project is live daily in the evenings.
