From November 6, 2025, Vienna will have a new, dazzling destination for the cold season – the winter highlight of the season in Schönbrunn Palace Park. When the world-famous palace park shines in special splendor and the “Imperial Lights” light garden opens its doors for the first time, visitors can expect a sparkling world of light, history, and magic.

On a 60- to 90-minute tour, visitors will experience artistic light installations that combine the elegance of the imperial era with modern lighting design. The result: an atmospheric walk through Vienna's history – with magnificent light images, impressive sculptures, and Vienna's largest sound-to-light show.

In addition to the illuminated installations, punch, mulled wine, snacks, and non-alcoholic beverages create a wintery atmosphere and invite visitors to linger. The nearby U4 Schönbrunn subway station is only a few minutes' walk from the entrance at Meidlinger Tor. Perfect for families, groups of friends, and anyone who wants to experience Vienna from its sparkling side.
